My Best Find for Black Friday

Today I spent Black Friday with my husband searching for the perfect piece. The piece that would inspire either or both of us. No, I'm not talking about the special priced items, you had to set out in the cold and wait all night for in line for. I'm talking about the unusual object that would inspire us to create something new out of something old. The one item that no one else wanted.

We went what we call "Junking It", looking for that treasure in someone else's trash. I found what I thought to be one of the best finds yet today. I found these old ceiling tiles in a rubble of metal, it was like they were calling my name. I tried to save what I could, but a lot of them were damaged beyond help, but I did bring home a few that was priceless to me.

I have so many visions for them, I can't wait to get started on them tomorrow. I did clean up and straighten this piece when I got home and added a coat of white paint to it. I can wait to work on it tomorrow. Check back to see if my vision became a reality.

Here are 3 other sizes I found. Hopefully my hubby will get them cleaned up for me tomorrow. So I can start working on them. I may have to send him back tomorrow to get more. The creative juices are flowing.

I will post pics of the finished products soon.

Thank you for viewing my blog and check back soon for more crafty findings.

  1. I got your e-mail and I have you entered for this week for being a follower, having my bitton on your side bar and for doing a post about my give-a-way. I feel honored to spend the morning with you as you drink your coffee. Most mornings I am deinking a cup of coffee trying to get some things accomplished before I begin home schooling my boys so you can imagine that I am right there with ya.

Can I make a suggestion for your blog. It is VERY HARD to read, between the dark backgrouns, the print and the dark lettering. The white was easier to read. The black, blue, burgandy and green all too dark to see. If you have older gals come by they will just leave for sure. A middle background that is plain without print is best and a dark one--thos beautiful is hardest to read. If you want people to come by and want to stay you want to make it as easy as possible. I have changed my blog so many times tryin to get the right feel and making it easy--I still have a long way to go, My list of things to do always gets longer insteasd of shorter sonmehow.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, I always try to help the gals with anything I can.

Tomorrow starts a new fun tradition at Its So Very Cheri.
